Our Team

Chase Stanley

Chase was raised in Hampton Roads, VA and eventually enlisted in the US ARMY in 2006 as a Cavalry Scout. Chase attended boot camp at the same fort in which he was born, Fort Knox, KY. Post boot camp Chase served in the 2nd Infantry DIvision in South Korea, and the 1st Cavalry Division out of Ft. Hood, TX. Chase Deployed to Iraq with 2BCT, 1-5 CAV as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

After receiving an Honorable Discharge in 2010, Chase moved back to his home state of VA and attended George Mason University where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree with honors in criminal justice. At this point in his life he met Tiffany, a Vermont native and began searching for a career in law enforcement. Chase always wanted to be a part of a small community, as that was his early childhood experience. In 2013 Chase and TIffany moved to the Brattleboro, VT area where he began his career with the Brattleboro Police Department. Over the next 8 years Chase pushed to engulf himself in the community and the issues that it was struggling with. He took on many roles within the department to include TASER instructor, head firearms instructor, field training officer, Training Assistant at the Vermont Police Academy, and led the department's tactical team.

In 2021 Chase stepped away from law enforcement due to poor stress management. He openly admits that the end of his career was due to his inability to properly handle the stress related to his careers and his personal life. Identifying that he was his own downfall, and almost became one of the statistics he strives to cease, Chase and Tiffany started Chasing ZERO in an effort to bring awareness to the struggles of life related to these careers. Chase and Tiffany now seek out opportunities and nonprofits dedicated to ending Military and First Responder suicide.

Tiffany Stanley

Tiffany was born in Brattleboro, Vermont and grew up in that area.  She attended George Mason University and remained in the area following graduation.  Through mutual friends, she met Chase and they were engaged, married, and relocated back to Vermont in 2013.

Her passion for fundraising and Chase's drive to support veterans and first responders were the start of Chasing ZERO.  Tiffany currently works full time at Landmark College as the Senior Executive Assistant to the President.

Eric & Jenna Poulin

I was born and raised in Central Massachusetts, where I developed a strong appreciation for hard work, service, and community. I later earned my Associate of Science degree in Automotive Technology from Seminole University in Central Florida, building a technical foundation that complemented the hands-on skills I’ve carried throughout my career.

Service runs deep in my family. My father is a 21-year Army veteran, and my mother dedicated 46 years as a registered nurse. I proudly served as a firefighter for 14 years. My wife is a nurse practitioner, my younger brother has served as a firefighter for over 12 years and is married to a registered nurse, and my older brother worked in security and public safety and is married to a primary care physician. Serving others isn’t just a profession in our family — it’s a calling.

Chase and I worked alongside one another in public safety in the town of Brattleboro — he as a police officer and I as a firefighter. We built a strong friendship, bonded not only by our shared commitment to protecting our community, but also through similar personal life struggles that connected our families on a deeper level.

Like many first responders, I’ve faced mental health challenges at times and have witnessed firsthand the toll they can take on our police officers, firefighters, veterans, and their families. That’s why I was incredibly proud when Chase publicly shared his journey and founded Chasing Zero to support the veteran and first responder community. This mission is deeply personal to me, and I am committed to supporting it in any way possible.
